Bijou Community Park

One of the top disc golf courses in the country and located among the trees features (no fee to play); Two covered gazebos with barbeque pits. Both are available for rental; Skateboard park; Volleyball courts (sand, 2); Fitness course; Basketball court; Open meadow; great for walking; Historic railroad exhibit; Horseshoe pits (2); A fenced dog park, (no fee), open to the public. This park is home to many festivals throughout the year and a favorite among locals and visitors alike.

D.L. Bliss State Park

On the crest of Eagle Falls in Emerald Bay State Park, you can see a brilliant panorama of Emerald Bay, Fannette Island, Lake Tahoe, and the distant Nevada shore. The park is located 17 miles south of Tahoe City on Highway 89, a couple of miles north of Emerald Bay.

Kahle Park – Douglas County

Kahle Park is a 19 acre park nestled into the trees just above where U.S. Highway 50 intersects with Kingsbury Grade, and is also home of the Kahle Community Center. This park features a baseball/softball field, two soccer fields, two play areas, a group picnic pavilion, outdoor basketball hoops, a pedestrian/bicycle path, and a concession/restroom building.

Sand Harbor State Park

This is one of the finest public outdoor beach facilities you will find. It has a separate parking area, separate beach area with fantastic views, a pavilion with central grill, fire area, and running water

Zephyr Cove County Park

Zephyr Cove is an 80-acre park, with 8 developed acres, located at Hwy 50 and Warrior Way. Major park amenities include a softball/soccer field, large group picnic area, 6 tennis courts, play area, exercise trail system, 18 hole disc golf course and restrooms. With the Douglas County library branch on site, there are plenty of places to enjoy the outdoors and a good book at the same time.
